A performance as part of This was the Future, an exhibition in the Barbican Conservatory. 2015

I greeted visitors in an agressively polite manner and ensured they used a complicated and pointless queuing system.

Then I sharpened a pencil for the visitor from an electric pencil sharpener beneath my skirt and forced them to sign a long consent form (which was infact just the definition of consent, repeated and written in a font too small to read).

Finally, I stamped their hand with an 'approved' sign and let them into the rest of the exhibition.

There was very loud lift music on repeat.
